During the 1860s, Lomax Mine was busy with gold miners who used hydrolic pumps to recover gold from the streams. Today tours of the area and the log mining cabins are conducted. Visitors can see the equipment used to mine, the clothing worn and what camp life was like in the late 19th century.

Country Boy Mine offers gold panning and guided mine tours inside a 1,000 feet century-old authentic gold mine. Also available are hay rides and dinner sleigh rides in the Rocky Mountains. Also included in the 10-mile sleigh rides is a light meal of cheese fondue and live musical entertainment.
