Once an old mining town now a ski Resort, Breckenridge boasts skiing over four mountain peaks numbered 7 through 10. The village at Breckenridge is Victorian styled and has been entirely restored providing lots of warmth and charm. The town of Breckenridge,itself, is located at an elevation of 9,600 feet making it one of the higher ski resorts in Colorado.
Expert runs abound here with 57% of runs dedicated to advanced skiiers, 28% to intermediate skiiers and the remaining 15% of runs are appropriate for novice or beginners. Breckenridge has a total of 23 lifts including one dual loading six passenger chair.
Day care facitilites are available, at all three base sites, on hill accommodating children as young as two months up to five years. Reservations are required.
Snowboard enthusiasts will appreciate the variety and challenge offered by these peaks.

Gold Run Nordic Center
The Gold Run Nordic Center has 20+ groomed kilometers of skating and classic trails, in addition to a network of backcountry touring and snowshoe trails. A rental shop that offers skating equipment, snowshoes and special packages are also available. The center also offers a heated indoor waxing area along with private lessons, backcountry ski-tours and waxing workshops.

The Breckenridge Nordic Center offers a skier bridge and two skier tunnels for a continous looped trail system with no road crossings. Skiing lessons are also offered by the center along with skate skiing.
